According to the Daily Post, former minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai cheated death as he and other passengers on board on aero contractor plane, survived a crash landing in Lagos. El-Rufai who was on his way to attend last Sunday of the year church service at Pastor Tunde's Bakare Latter Rain Assembly, broke the news through his twitter handle.
NASRI EL- RUFAI (@elrufai): "Upon landing in Lagos, our aero aircraft lost a Tyre. The Pilot did a great job by breaking to a halt suitably. My phone flew under seat". He said.
NASRI EL- RUFAI (@elrufai): "It was amusing hearing shouts of Allah Akbar and Jesus, Jesu, while the dutiful captain was trying to slow the plane down to a safe location".
NASRI EL- RUFAI (@elrufai): "The aero pilot was good and cabin staff calm and professional in the midst of mild drama and little panic by a few passengers. We thank God".
The incident is one of many recorded this year, a development that has made many aviation experts call for overhaul of the sector.
