Seyi Shay speaks on the controversial dress she wore to meet with GEJ, says I wasn't trying to seduce him

Singer Seyi Shay says she had no intention of seducing the president when she wore the short dress to sing and greet the President at the MeetThePresident Youth event in Lagos last Saturday.
"I am a very respectable young lady and I was not in any way trying to seduce the President with the outfit I wore. I had two outfits for the event, one was for my performance and the other was worn after I performed. The dress I was pictured in with the President was what I wore during my performance. I came on stage and greeted everyone according to their culture and I did the same for Mr. President. He was impressed and he asked where and how I knew how to greet in his native dialect and I said I learnt it. That was what brought about the giggling and smiles in the picture. I’m a performer and what I do on stage doesn’t reflect my everyday life. I had two outfits on that day and it was a youth event. Who wouldn’t feel overwhelmed meeting the President? Well, I did and I felt honoured because it is not every day you get to meet the president of your country,” she told Punch.

Meet the honest airport cleaner who earns N7,500, found $27,000 (N5.4m) and returned it

Pictured above is a very honest woman, Josephine Agwu, who works as a cleaner at the Murtala International Airport in Lagos where while cleaning one of the toilets at the airport on January 23rd, found a bag containing $27,000 which is 5.4 million in Naira equivalent. Josephine took the bag to the security post at the airport for an announcement to be made for the owner to come forward & collect it, which was done.

The woman earns just N7,800 as her monthly salary for a 12-hours a day job. Josephine, who is from Enugu state spoke to Vanguard about why she took the decision to return the money. Read that after the cut...

"I am from Enugu State, from Obonkpa in Nsukka Local Government. I live at Agbotukunyo in Agege. The incident happened on the 23rd of January 2015. I was on morning duty. So as I was sweeping around 6:30pm, I saw the bag on the ground and there were some passengers there so I thought that the bag could belong to one of them. But as I closed at 7:20pm, the person to relieve me on duty came that time. I was going to the toilet again, I saw the same bag there. Then I told the passengers sitting there that they should be mindful of the bag because once they announce the flight they may forget it. They replied that the bag did not belong to them. Three of the passengers left, so I then picked the bag and took it to the FAAN security people. At first, they put the bag on the screening machine, before they opened the bag and discovered that there were many envelops in the bag containing money in different currencies including dollars. As they were counting it, I saw an NDLEA woman accompanied by one man and both of them were coming towards us. They said that the man could be the owner of the bag. So when they came in, they interviewed the man and the man mentioned the amount of money and the colour of the bag. Before then, they had counted the money and it was exactly the amount that the man said. Then they carried the money and gave to the man for him to count. After counting, they asked him if the money was complete, he said yes and they snapped him picture. They asked him again about three times and they told the man that, ‘look at the woman that picked your bag’, and the man was looking at me. His name is Mr. Obinna Samuel. They told him that he should thank his God that if it were another person, that person would have run away with the bag but this woman didn’t do that. So I left and the man took the money and put inside the bag and went away. Then FAAN security personnel called me back, and they took my number On-Duty-Card (ODC) and my name. That was how it happened. People are praising me, FAAN said that they are going to give me automatic employment but I have not heard from them till now. People should appreciate what they have. People do a lot of bad things because they are not happy with what they have. With the little I earn, I try to manage it well. If I can’t manage that small money that I earn, even if I begin to earn N1 million, I will still not know how to manage it. So, I am telling every Nigerian to be happy in any situation they find themselves. Don’t be faster than your shadow because so many things will go wrong. Sometimes things get bad because people want to be like others. All fin gers are not equal. It is true that God promised those who serve him riches, but people should be careful how they go about it. I am telling people to have pa tience. It is because people want quick money that is why some people become thieves. On the part of my management, in fact they are happy, all my supervisors. In short they are doing good things for me, even they are carrying me like egg, even my MD. They have added money to my salary. In short, my manager, Madam Eunice has been doing many things for me since the incident, praising me. She said that she knows that she can trust me, and that I cannot see anything that does not belong to me and I take it away" she said
Josephine says for showing such a remarkable decision, her company has decided to increase her salary from N7,800 to N15,000 monthly and also the management of FAAN has promised to make her a permanent staff
"FAAN (Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria) said that they are going to give me automatic employment, but I have not heard from them till now. On the part of my management, they are happy, all my supervisors. In short, they are doing good things for me. Now, they carry me like egg, even my MD.” she said
Meanwhile the Lagos state House of Assembly on Monday February 22nd at its plenary session decided to invite Josephine to the House to honor her for her honesty.

Governors Will Have No Immunity At Polling Stations – AIG Mbu

According to Leadership news paper...

Ahead of 2015 general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone II, Joseph Mbu, yesterday tasked police not to give any politician, especially governors, any immunity at the polling stations during the polls, saying all voters are equal.
Addressing men and officers under him in Ogun State at Eleweran in Abeokuta, Mbu implored police officers to discharge their duty during the election in such a way that will contribute to free and fair conduct of the election without bias.
Speaking against the backdrop of negative attitude of some police officers and the tendencies of being bought over by politicians, Mbu charged the police to be disciplined in the course of discharging their duty during and after the election, warning that any officer found culpable could be summarily dismissed.
Mbu, who explained that he was in the Ogun Command to “blow some air of courage into the officers”   as well as to restore their hopes, charged them to rekindle their interest in the job.
“I have come here to restore hope in all of you and to blow air of encouragement into you.
“I love Nigeria Police, I love being a police officer and I’m very proud to be a police officer because only a police officer can do every other job and no other person can do a police job.”
“If you love this job, the number one commandment for this job is discipline. You must be disciplined.”
“That’s why I said don’t touch my policeman. If you shoot my policeman, I will shoot twenty of you, I will shoot a hundred of you because we are coming to you for peace.”
“ We are not coming to you to come and kill you. You are not engaging us in gun battle. Anybody who fires you, fire him back in self-defence but don’t fire first.”
“Our duty is to make sure that the elections are conducted freely, fairly and peacefully and violence-free. There must be a code of conduct that you have to uphold to make sure that we actualise our goals.”
He described 2015 as a very critical period, saying the upcoming election is the most keen because the two dominant political parties are evenly matched.
“This is a turning point in the history of the Nigeria Police where two very powerful political parties are contesting keenly. So, we have to be very serious. We have to be very bold. We have to be very brave. You must remain at your duty post. You must make sure you keep an eagle eye on everybody coming there. “
“You must make sure that whatever is in the Electoral Act, whatever is against the Electoral Act, you are there to stop it. You are not there to start greeting honourable or saying ‘oga, how are you?’ No. That is your day. Everybody there is coming to line up. No governor, no president, no AIG, no IG. Everybody is lining up to vote and go his way.” Mbu submitted.

We’ll Kill 20 For Each Police Life Lost During Elections —Police AIG Mbu

He said if any of his men were shot, no less than twenty civilians would pay for it.
“If one of my men is killed, I shall kill twenty of them but don’t shoot first,” Mr. Mbu said. “If they shoot you, shoot back in self-defence. Anybody who fires you, fire him back in self-defence.”
He told his men that they were the only authority that has power to arrest, before, during and after elections.
He noted that it was not compulsory for the police officers to greet even a governor who comes to vote.
“You have the power to stop the governor,” he said. “We are in a critical period. We are not para-military. We must be bold and brave. Keep an eagle eye on everybody. We are authorised by the constitution to arrest before, during and after election. Our role is to ensure free, fair and violence free election.”
Mr. Mbu came to national limelight following his public squabbles with the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi while Mr. Mbu was a police commissioner in the state.

Mr. Amaechi accused Mr. Mbu of plotting to kill him and called the AIG a tool of the Presidency.

Confession! How Pastor Itua Ighodalo Was Almost Killed, Wife Almost Kidnapped

Indeed the Lord never leaves his people. A domestic worker at the house of popular man of God, Pastor Itua Ighodalo has been arrested for plotting to kill him and kidnapping his wife. The young worker, 24, who the Lord later revealed his secrets by making him poison one of their dogs, which later led to his confession of the about to be carried out plans on the couple, has however been charged to court alongside an herbalist and a gate man in the estate they reside, who all planned to carry out the deadly act. It’s really scary. Continue below to read the full report by Pm News.

An attempt by two domestic staff to poison Pastor Itua Ighodalo of Trinity House, a mega church in Victoria Island, Lagos, western Nigeria, has been foiled.
The  two workers allegedly connived with a herbalist to hatch the plot to enable them kidnap the pastor’s wife, Ibidunni, and demand for a ransom of N80 million.
But the plot was foiled by the couple before they could actualise it. The police have arrested the two domestic staff and the herbalist and charged them to court for attempted murder.
Police identified the suspects as Abdulkareem Mohammed, 24, the alleged mastermind of the plot, employed by the couple as a dog handler, Makinde Ewuosi, 36, a native doctor who resides at 21, Joseph Street, Lagos Island and has his shrine at 9, Alofun Street, Lagos Island, and Paul Eke, 29, a security guard at Osborne Foreshore Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos where the couple resides.
Police investigation revealed that nemesis caught up with the suspects when the couple’s pet dog named Simba suddenly died from food poisoning at their residence at Ikoyi, Lagos.
Suspecting a foul play, the couple contacted their dog’s doctor to conduct an examination on it to know the cause of its death and the doctor’s report revealed that the dog died from food poisoning.
The couple reported the incident to the police and the dog handler was arrested and taken to the station for interogation.
During interogation, according to the police, the dog handler (Mohammed) from Borno State, allegedly confessed that he mixed poisonous substances given to him by a herbalist with food for the dog to eat and after the dog ate the food it died.
In his alleged confession to the police, Mohammed further said: “The security man in our estate, Eze, brought the information that if we poison my boss to death, kidnap his wife and demand for N80 million ransom we would be rich overnight. And to actualise our mission, I went to consult a native doctor, Ewuosi for help.
“And after explaining my mission to the native doctor, he gave me poisonous black powder, black soap and sponge with a directive that I must use the powder to poison my master’s dog to know the effectiveness of the poison and if it vomits and dies, I should use it to poison anybody.
“After the dog died, we were still planning how to use the poison on my boss and kidnap his wife for ransom before I was arrested. But I don’t know how the devil used me to plan such evil against my employers because they were taking good care of me. I pray to God to forgive me.”
Following his alleged confession, Mohammed led the police to arrest the herbalist and the security guard.
Ewuosi, the herbalist, allegedly confessed that he prepared some concoctions for the dog handler but not to kill anybody.
After investigation, the suspects were charged before a Tinubu Magistrates’ court on a two-count charge of attempted murder of Pastor Itua Ighodalo and his wife, Ibidunni.
The offences, the police prosecutor, Supol Chidi Okoye said, are punishable under sections 409 and 228(1)(2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge in the open court, and Chief Magistrate Miss A.O. Awogboro admitted them on bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two surties each in like.
Awogboro directed the prosecutor to send the case file to the DPP’s office for advice and adjourned the case till 18 March, 2015 for mention.
The defendants were, however, taken to Ikoyi Prison, Lagos, pending when they will fulfil their bail conditions.

18 Year Old Girl Sleeps With Her Father. Plans Wedding in April

An 18-year-old woman has given an interview to New York Magazine’s The Science of Us. In it she details her two year relationship with her biological father. They are planning to marry this April.

The phenomenon of genetic sexual attraction (or GSA) is a case where family members are sexually attracted to each other because of similiarity in DNA and is more common where close relatives first meet as adults. The idea is that people are attracted to people who are like them. In some cases very, very like them. It has been recorded in cases where adopted children meet their biological parents or adult siblings meet for the first time.

In the interview, the young woman tells New York Magazine’s Alexa Tsoulis-Reay about her upbringing, her estrangement from her father and their reunion.

“I have some memories. He spoiled me rotten. I had this giant storage tote of Barbie dolls and I had my own Mary-Kate and Ashley bedroom. It was a little girl’s dream. We’d sit in the yard blowing bubbles together, and he took me to the zoo where he bought me a stuffed animal that I kept until I was 16. I ended up washing it and stupidly put it in the dryer, which melted all its fur. I remember he gave me a miniature tea set. I still have it. After the divorce with my mum, my mum left with me and i didnt see him until 12 years later”

After they made contact on Facebook, father and daughter realised that they had quite a bit in common.

“We chit-chatted online for a few days and found out we were similar. We shared the same favorite TV shows — The Simpsons and The Big Bang Theory — and we both love to draw. He came to see me about a week later. You wouldn’t have believed we hadn’t been around each other for 12 years. The idea of “getting to know him” seemed strange because we are so much alike. He came and hung out all day and then I asked to come spend a week with him”.

During the stay with her father, the pair became closer. The father was still living with his girlfriend at the time, but because his daughter was feeling anxious, her father slept on the couch and she slept on the floor. Things got…hard.

“Sleeping in new places makes me very anxious so I asked him to stay with me in case I had one of the terrible nightmares I usually experience. The second night I had him sleep on the couch again and then the third night I fell asleep with him on the floor lying on his chest, in his arms. The fourth night rolled around and we ended up on the floor again. This time we actually cuddled. When he woke up, we were spooning. I didn’t know this at the time but later, after we admitted our feelings, he told me he had had “morning erection” and had gone to fix it.

That night we were play-wrestling in the room I was going to sleep in and I bit him. He was wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a tank top and after I bit him I could see goose bumps pop up from his toes to his shoulders. Then he pinched my inner thigh and I got goose bumps.

We stopped and said that we didn’t know what was going on but admitted that we had strong feelings for each other. We discussed whether it was wrong and then we kissed. And then we made out, and then we made love for the first time. That was when I lost my virginity.
And it was apparently pleasing (argh!)

There’s a reason I lost my virginity to him — because I’d never felt comfortable with any other man. It was insanely sensual. It lasted for about an hour and there was a lot of foreplay. We both had orgasms. We are so similar, so it’s so easy to sexually please each other. For example, we both love neck-biting. I’ve never been in a more passionate, loving, fulfilling situation.

He made sure I wanted to do it. We both initiated it and he kept asking me if I was okay, not because he thought I was distressed but because he wanted me to know that we could stop at any point. It was like any other man and woman having sex after they had each admitted their feelings.

It wasn’t weird at all. It felt so natural. It didn’t even feel taboo. I felt like I had just made love with a man who I’d been with for years

i love him. he is the man for me and we are moving to New Jersey where it is legal so we can get married this April”. She  concluded
.
What a world we live in.
